APW - Hamilton, "Made Expressly for Fred McIntyre by Hamilton Watch Co" marked mvt, Grade 926, 17J, 18S, nickel OF display recase with Hamilton marked bezels, "Fred McIntyre, So. McAlester, I.T." marked white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, gilt mvt screws and regulator assembly, s#153502. A good example of this scarce and notable private label, Fred McIntyre was a jeweler in So. McAlester, Indian Territory (later Oklahoma) and a few years later founded the McIntyre Watch Company.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, numerous fine to micro-fine scratches to balance cock foot, few mild fine to micro-fine scratches and some surface nicks elsewhere to plates, some marring to balance jewel setting and surrounding area, balance cock screw is a replacement of mismatched gilt tone; dial with outer chapter hls between 7 and 8, outer chapter hl below seconds-register at 6; fine hands, minute with finish loss to tip and to portion of spade; case shows light wear, some scattered fine scratches and nicks; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystals.
